Reese's Senior Bowl

With the 2023 Reese’s Senior Bowl set to take place on February 4th, I thought it might be fun to look back on the 2022 Senior Bowl and whom the Dolphins chose to add to their squad that participated in the event.

First, let’s take a look at none other than Miami’s third-round pick in the 2022 NFL draft – Channing Tindall out of Georgia – and how he performed during his Reese’s Senior Bowl action.

Tindall would play for the American squad in this one, tallying a total of 5 tackles (3 solo), tied for second on the team.

Those tackles would include:

  • Two tackles on running back Rachaad White was drafted in the first round by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. As an aside, Miami was rumored at the time of the draft to be interested in White.
  • One tackle against tight end Trey McBride who was the top-rated tight end drafted by the Arizona Cardinals in the 2nd round.
  • One tackle of running back Abram Smith who would go undrafted before signing with the New Orleans Saints.
  • One tackle against tight end Charlie Kolar who was drafted by the Baltimore Ravens in the 4th round.

After a solid performance in the Reese’s Senior Bowl, and of course the same goes for his collegiate career, Channing Tindall would be drafted in Round 3, pick 102, of the 2022 NFL Draft.

During his first season, Tindall would total three tackles (1 solo / 2 ast.) in limited action. Will he be our linebacker of the future? Here’s to seeing that play out in 2023!
